I already have some smart devices — do I have to replace them?
Usually not. If your existing lights, locks, or thermostat use a common protocol, we can often bring them into the new system rather than ripping them out.
What actually happens if the internet goes down?
Local automations — lights, locks, scenes triggered by switches or sensors — keep working on the local network. Remote app access and voice assistants need internet, so those pause until it's back.
Can this control my security cameras and alarm too?
Yes, where the equipment supports it — that's usually the most useful part, since it means one arm/disarm action can also lock doors and adjust lighting.
How long does a typical automation install take?
A single-room refresh can be a day; a whole-house build-out with new wiring runs longer. We'll give you a real timeline after the walkthrough, not a guess.
